Inspired by a visionary.
When selecting a name for our bank back in 1989, the connection between the bank’s location in the Chicago Board of Trade Building and architect Edward J. Burling’s contribution to the city of Chicago seemed like a perfect fit – and the perfect name for the newest bank on LaSalle Street. “It seems appropriate to me today to recognize the foresight, creativity and tenacity of Edward Burling and the pioneer spirit of the people who have built Chicago.”
David Goldberg, Founder
